In the framework of SMMiL-E activities, a joint project of CNRS, Institute of Industrial Science, Centre Oscar Lambret and University of Lille, Vmicro produces the silicon micro-tweezers needed to explore the mechanical properties of cancerous cells. To avoid cross contamination, the tweezer is change between each experiment. Vmicro was able to produce thousands of pieces with several design variations. Now that the processs in well integrated, we can launch new production batch with a turnaround of less than three months.
